The first practice take home project is the ENVELOPE PILLOWCASE

Sewing techniques you will learn:
How to measure and add seam allowance
How to draft the pattern correctly on the fabric ( understand the grain of the fabric)
How to pin and baste fabric to keep layers together.
How to maneuver fabric to sew straight
How to sew in reverse at the beginning and end of a seam.
How to do a ½ inch rolled hem
How to finish a raw edge with zigzag or a serger

The second take home take home project is FACE TOWLETTES

Additional Sewing techniques you will learn by making towelettes ( 11×11 ):

Turning at corners with a pivot
Turning right side out pressing and topstitch
Slip Stitch two layers of fabric to close an opening
